Can you believe it? It’s been a whole year since I pressed ‘publish’ on my very first cooking video on YouTube! Much like the serendipitous timing of launching my blog back in February, my YouTube channel also mysteriously found its start in the same month. It wasn’t a grand master plan, I assure you, but perhaps February truly is my designated month for exciting new beginnings and creative leaps. My inaugural, somewhat epic video, made its debut on February 29th last year. Since that unique date only rolls around every four years, I’m marking this significant milestone today, February 28th, with immense gratitude and a touch of playful nostalgia.

Embarking on this video journey felt like a natural progression from the blog, a way to bring recipes to life with vibrant visuals and engaging demonstrations. I wanted to share the sights, sounds, and sheer joy of cooking in my kitchen directly with you, my cherished community. The transition from written words to dynamic video presented its own set of challenges and learning curves, but the passion for delicious food and the desire to inspire others to cook kept the fire burning brightly. This past year has been an incredible adventure, filled with new skills learned, delicious dishes shared, and a growing connection with all of you who tune in week after week.

I distinctly remember the very first test video shoot. Mr. N, my incredible camera man in chief – who also holds the prestigious title of head of the tasting committee – looked at me with a thoughtful expression and said, “You were made to be in front of the camera.” Those words, brimming with encouragement and belief, have resonated deeply and fueled my confidence ever since. Darling, your unwavering support is the bedrock of Precious Kitchen. Thank you for meticulously scouting and purchasing beautiful shooting props, for patiently holding the camera even after long, exhausting days at work when all you wanted was to rest, and for being my constant cheerleader. Your dedication makes this entire endeavor possible, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
