I meticulously prepared and cooked, ensuring every detail was perfect, only for the videos to stubbornly refuse to play back afterward! It was incredibly frustrating, a true test of patience. To add insult to injury, even the pictures of the delicious food I had so carefully prepared disappeared. Here I am after the show, contemplating the chaos of my scattered kitchen, trying to figure out how to salvage the situation and mentally prepare for the next attempt.

Meanwhile, church was absolutely A.W.E.S.O.M.E. It was a truly special time dedicated to appreciating all the diligent volunteers who consistently serve our community with such dedication and grace. Their selfless contributions often go unsung, so it was wonderful to see them recognized. As a delightful treat, the entire congregation was served ice cream! It was a joy to witness men old enough to be my father relishing their ice cream like there was no tomorrow. I’m always amazed at how universally loved sugar is in this country, appealing to both the young and the old. Back home, sweet treats like ice cream are typically seen more as a children’s or women’s indulgence, making the widespread enjoyment here quite a cultural observation.
